The Still - Monday 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
Work often begins in places that feel too small, too lowly, or too daunting. We look at what’s in front of us and feel the distance between where we stand and where we believe we should be. That distance can feel like failure before we’ve even begun.
Jesus began in humility too. He entered the world through the most ordinary doorway and carried the heaviest calling — not for His own sake, but for ours. His path reminds us that beginnings are not destiny. Humble starts are not signs of inadequacy. They are invitations to faithfulness, to calling, to the quiet courage of taking the next step.
Work can weigh us down, yet it can also raise us up. The same responsibilities that stretch us can become the ground where purpose quietly grows.
Choose one task you’ve been avoiding. Take the smallest faithful step toward it today — not the whole climb, just the next inch.
We begin where we are, not where we wish we were. And when we take the next small step in front of us, we join Christ in the quiet, steady work of sanctification — one act of faithfulness at a time.
A step toward the calling He has laid before us.
